Sweet And Spicy Herbal Salmon
This herbal salmon rub is perfectly balanced with brown sugar and cayenne. We like to serve this dish with a vegetable medley or fluffy rice.
Servings 2
- 2 5 Oz Portions salmon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons olive oil for brushing salmon
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon sage
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper add 1/2 teaspoon for more spice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 clove garlic minced
Preheat oven to 400*
Combine all spices and minced garlic in a bowl, this is going to be your spice rub
Brush the tops and sides of each salmon fillet with oil and pat evenly with spice mixture. This will bake into a delicious crust.
Bake salmon, skin side down for approximately 18 minutes, or until filet is easily flaked with a fork. Serve immediately.
